SIMPLE PRESENT TENSE

 

The simple present tense of all verbs in English (except the verbs to be and to have, which we have already studied) has the same form as the infinitive. Only in the third person singular is there a slight change made; in the third person singular s is added. We use the simple present tense to describe an action which goes on every day or in general.
